Fly Friendly |
When pilots fly into Page Field, they are not just landing at our airport, but they are entering our neighborhood, as well. We ask pilots to please keep in mind that thousands of people live within a short distance of our airport, and they are sensitive to sounds of incoming and outgoing air traffic-both day and night- and to follow these simple noise avoidance procedures. |
Runway 5 is the designated calm wind runway. Climb as high as possible before leaving airport boundaries, consistent with safety. Avoid intersection takeoffs. Maintain pattern altitude as long as practicable and use the VASIs or ILS on final approach. Keep the patterns as tight as possible. Jets should follow the NBAA Standard Noise Abatement Departure and Arrival Procedures or comparable procedure specific to your aircraft manufacturer. Propeller aircraft should utilize AOPA Noise Awareness Steps. |
Takeoff: Climb straight ahead to 700 feet before turning crosswind. On crosswind, climb to 800 feet before turning downwind. Climb at best rate to 1,000 feet pattern altitude. Landing: Remain at 1,000 feet pattern altitude as long as practicable. On final approach maintain glide slope using VASIs or ILS. |
